| Description | |
|
| 3 Double Bedroom, Modern house / duplex apartment, with Large Lounge set back from the road, on a quiet tree-lined street, across the Thames from Canary Wharf (all day river shuttle from Docklands Hilton).
| |
| | Ideal for a group/family visiting London, who want to be close to everything, without being amongst the madness (childrens’ ‘City Farm’ 2 mins walk).
| |
| | Perfect for those doing business in CANARY WHARF, or indeed the CITY of London.
| |
| | Private Garden, Roof Terrace.
| | Across the road from a lovely Riverside Park and the Thames Path Riverside Walk, Adjacent to the Canary Wharf ferry (2 mins crossing, £3 return, every 10 mins - where one can take a boat ride along the Thames, stopping at Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, Big Wheel, Big Ben, etc) and across the street from Docklands Hilton (£220 per 1 bedroom suite per night) with an a la carte restaurant, Traders Bistro, an 18th century sailing barque resting in one of London's only dry docks).
| |
| | 10 min walk to the nearest TUBE station - Canada Water (Jubilee Line).
| |
| | Fast frequent bus service, stops right outside every 10 mins (Tower Bridge 15 mins, Waterloo 25 mins, Victoria 30 mins) and just 20 minutes from London City Airport by car/taxi.
| |
| | You are also only 10 mins walk to a major shopping mall (Surrey Quays), with restaurants, cinemas, bowling alley, etc. (unusual, this close to Central London).
| |
| | The Rotherhithe peninsula, is surrounded on 3 sides by the River Thames and is set between LONDON TOWER BRIDGE and CANARY WHARF.
| |
| | Rotherhithe Street itself, has some of London’s oldest pubs and it was from here that the MAYFLOWER, with the Pilgrim Fathers, set sail for the Americas and the new world. In fact, the Captain of the Mayflower is buried in St Mary's Churchyard on Rotherhithe Street.
| |
| | Rotherhithe has always had ROYAL connections. Edward III had a PALACE at Rotherhithe, the remains of which can be seen. In 1412 Henry IV stayed in the area ‘whilst he was cured of leprosy’. It was hoped the 'sea air' would help his complaint. He arrived by river, sailing down the Thames from the Palace of Westminster to Rotherhithe. The manor was owned by the monarchy from William II until Henry I gave it to his son.
| |
| | Adjacent to the Thames with stunning views across to Canary Wharf, this accomodation is superbly located for all your business and leisure requirements, it is easy to forget that you are only minutes away from the City of London.
